Video Analysis week5
As we have not decided what kind of video we will film. I start to analyze different kinds of videos.
Reference video:
1. Commercial
follow the frog:
The commercial was shot like a short film. It has an
intriguing plot and actions. The video did not unveil what it is selling until
the end of it to keep the audience’s attention, which is smart. This commercial
uses humour and altercasting, to create an empathy with the audience.
NZ transport agency:
The story is simple but attractive. The romantic music
contrasts with the embarrassing behaviour create a whimsical effect. By
presenting the same occasion by different people in a funny way, it allows audiences
to remember the story and emphasize the theme of the commercial at the same
time. This commercial uses humour and altercasting, to create an empathy with
the audience as well.
2. interesting
interview
The Bucket Board
On one hand, the monologue marriages with the jump-cut
montage creates a rhythm of the story. On the other hand, the visual image it
shows demonstrates what the interviewer said, which further emphasizes the
content.
“You won’t Instagram
my food, but you’ll eat it.”
The lines are funny especially when it was accompanied with
the classical music.
3. Motion graphic
This motion graphic video demonstrates the concept clearly.
The audiences can understand the concept in either a narrative or a visual way.
The colour palette on it is harmonious.
